Every vial ships with 3ml of bacteriostatic water at no cost, so you can mix it the day it lands rather than waiting on a second order. You will need a syringe and, if you are using a pen, an empty cartridge. The pre-filled pens and the dual-chamber cartridges need none of that.
It takes about five minutes the first time and two after that. There is a step-by-step guide on this site with photographs, and the same sheet goes in the box. If you get stuck at any point, message us — we would far rather you asked than guessed.

Photograph it and message us. Cloudiness, floating particles or a powder cake that has collapsed or gone glassy are all reasons to stop and check with us before going further. We have never argued with anyone about a replacement.
Sealed powder is stable at room temperature, out of direct light. Once it is reconstituted it belongs in the fridge — middle shelf towards the back, not the door, where the temperature swings every time someone opens it. Never the freezer: freeze-thaw is the one thing you cannot undo.
